Plant-Based Grocery Shopping List (Whole Foods & Trader Joe’s)
The main reason I started The Peachy Prodigy was to help guide people into a healthy and mindful lifestyle. I want to help push those who are trying to make that big change.
Eating healthy has a pretty bad rep when it comes to expense. I agree with this – but it truly depends on how you look at it. The way I look at buying organic/fresh groceries that are a little bit more pricey is that it’s saving me from dealing with doctor’s appointments, skin problems, and cancers down the road. A lot of people don’t look this far and often rebuttal with something along the lines “you sound dramatic” or “everything kills ya” but in all reality it’s the truth – and people are afraid of the truth so they avoid it and come up with ridiculous one-liners to bury their fear (haha). I would much rather spend $5 on a veggie burger from Whole Foods that contains 3 simple & fresh ingredients than $1 on a McDonalds burger made out of god knows what. Think of the investment in your health. Get in the habit of eating well now – it’s the best decision you’ll ever make.
I decided to reach out to my followers and see what they really wanted to hear from me – I was most often asked “what should I buy from the grocery store?!” or “can you please post a grocery list” So, with that being said here it is – my plant-based grocery list! I hope this will give you some ideas on what to buy and store in your house for healthy snacks and meals.
Before we get started – here’s a few things I want you to know:
- I am plant based with the exception of organic pasture-raised eggs
- I always try to buy organic!
- Buy what’s best for you 🙂 These are items I enjoy that help me with my specific diet – this is not a guideline on what you have to buy at the store.
- This is a general list of what I keep around the house… I do not buy all of these things at once and certainly don’t expect you to run to Whole Foods or Trader Joes and spend $300 – what I suggest is to slowly incorporate these items into your household
Now, onto the good stuff…

This is so helpful!! I love (like am obsessed with) planning my grocery list and getting to go to the store every week. I’m also not a fan of avocado and need to be better about adding it to smoothies haha. Trader Joes is the best and I will definitely check out some of your suggestions when I go next time!!
So good to hear! Incorporating avocado can be tough but there are so many ways! Sending love
