Vegan Pumpkin Donuts

Ingredients

DRY

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp allspice

WET

  • 1/3 cup organic maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup organic pumpkin puree
  • 1/3 cup almond milk or any dairy-free milk
  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

TOPPING

  • 4 tbsp grass-fed butter
  • pure cane sugar
  • pumpkin pie spice
  • cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven 350F - grease your donut pan and set aside.

  2. Combine all dry ingredients in one bowl and all wet ingredients in another - bring both together until fully combined. I poured my batter into the blender quick to make sure it was nice and smooth.

  3. Spoon batter into donut pan - 3/4 full.

  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then remove from pan -place on cooling rack.

  5. While waiting for your donuts to cool melt your 4 tbsp of butter over medium heat - pour into a bowl once melted.

  6. Mix your sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon together and pour onto plate.

  7. Take one donut at a time and dip face down into the butter then face down in the sugar - enjoy!
